A Jet Lighter can be described as butane lighter offering blue flames for lighting your cigarettes up. You should not think twice before purchasing this lighter type if you want to use a windproof and refillable lighter. As these units are refillable, people looking to use them must learn the process of refilling the fuel. The section below will explain to you the right procedure of refilling jet lighters and keeping them functional.
- Hole the jet lighter strongly in your hand and turn it upside down; make sure that lid of the lighter is closed as you do so. This should allow you to see a tiny screw and port hole (often referred to as inlet valve).
- Once you see the port hole and screw we mentioned above, you should get the butane canister’s lid removed. Now the canister will have to be turned upside down, but only to place its red colored valve into the jet lighter’s inlet valve.
- The above step must be followed by pressing the canister and its valve in 3 to 4 short bursts. While doing so you must have the lighter and the canister in different hands of yours.
- The above step should end the refilling procedure. However, you must not start using it right after refilling it with butane. Allow you’re the jet lighter to rest for a minimum of 5 minutes. This will give the fuel you just filled the lighter with to settle.
